As New College approaches the end of its fiscal year on June 30, we are asking all friends of the college to consider a gift to the New College Fund. This is the fund that provides scholarships for students in need, underwrites student research and travel grants, and supports faculty research and teaching tools. Student scholarships represent the greatest need.
Alums who have not yet given in this fiscal year have an added incentive: Your gift will increase the rate of “alumni participation” in giving, which is one of the factors considered by US News & World Report’s ratings, and the national foundations to which we apply for grants, and the Florida Board of Governors. Our goal is to reach at least a 15 percent alumni participation rate by the end of the fiscal year.
Whether you are an alum of the College, a parent, or a community friend, a financial gift (of any amount) is a tangible way to say thank you for the many ways that New College has impacted your life, the lives of our students, and the region. It is an acknowledgement that we are doing a good job preparing liberal arts graduates for lives of great achievement.
Won’t YOU be the one to make a New College education available to all?
